PRIM QG-T

Applications:

  • Ceramic Tiles
  • Natural Stone Coverings
  • Leveling Compounds
  • Bonded Sealants
  • Slabs

Characteristics

Quartz Primer Turbo is a high-performance primer designed to enhance adhesion on a wide variety of substrates. It is ideal for use on cement screeds (both heated and unheated), concrete, aerated concrete, and sand-lime bricks. The primer also performs excellently on lime, lime-cement, and cement-based plasters, gypsum or gypsum-lime plasters, gypsum plasterboard, and gypsum fibreboard.

This primer provides strong bonding on wooden substrates, firmly bonded ceramic coverings, and metal surfaces. Additionally, Quartz Primer Turbo is compatible with waterproof and solvent-free flooring adhesives, including those used for carpet adhesives, ensuring a reliable bond in a variety of applications.

Ingredients

  • Polymer Dispersion

Application

  • Regulates absorption behavior of mineral substrates for consistent performance.
  • Improves the adhesive bond for better durability and long-lasting results.
  • Works effectively on both absorbent and non-absorbent surfaces.
  • Suitable for use on both wall and floor areas, offering versatile application.
  • Designed for both indoor and outdoor use, ensuring reliable adhesion in various environments.

Substrate Preparation:

  • Ensure the surface is dry, level, clean, stable, and absorbent
  • Remove any adhesion-reducing residues, efflorescence, or sintered layers
  • For optimal results, ensure the surface is free from contaminants

Mixing & Preparation:

  • Shake the product well before use
  • For cementitious substrates, dilute with clean water in a 1:1 to 1:3 ratio
  • For calcium sulphate screeds, dry screeds, plasterboard, and gypsum fibreboard, use undiluted
  • Highly absorbent surfaces may require a second "fresh-on-fresh" coat for better coverage

Application:

  • Apply evenly using a roller, brush, or sprayer
  • Avoid puddling to ensure an even coat
  • Ensure full and consistent coverage for optimal adhesion

Drying & Hardening:

  • Drying time is typically between 15 to 30 minutes, depending on environmental conditions
  • Drying time is affected by temperature, humidity, and substrate absorbency
  • Low temperature and high humidity can delay drying, while high temperature and low humidity can speed it up
  • Apply subsequent coatings only when the surface is fully dry
  • Timings are based on conditions of +20°C and 65% relative humidity
